Miss Sunshine State competition consist of five major phases. 

 

Private Interview – 30% of your score. A one-on-one conversation with judges to learn about your character, your platform, and your passions.

 

Health & Fitness (formerly “Lifestyle and Fitness”) – 20%. Evaluates how you present yourself in athletic wear, reflecting wellness and discipline.

 

Talent or HER Story Speech – 20%. Choose either a performance or a 90-second speech sharing your personal or community impact.

 

Evening Wear (“Presence & Poise”) – 20%. Modeling in a formal gown to demonstrate elegance, confidence, and stage presence.

 

On-Stage Question – 10%. A question related to your platform or current events. You start with a 30-second Social Impact Pitch followed by judge interaction.
